Our time as Centennial Volunteer CVA_4Ambassadors in the DC area is off to a great start! We have been involved in lots of projects, events, and fun experiences. A particular one to mention was the 2nd Annual Day of Service with The Corps Network.  It was refreshing to be among so many other people from around the country who believed in service and the value of our public lands. We had the pleasure of meeting the Director of the National Park Service, Jon Jarvis while at the event. He thanked us all for our service and made us feel that our internship was valued and would create a lasting impact. It’s fulfilling to know that our role is important to certain individuals as well and to know that we are CVA_3contributing to the greater NPS mission. We had a great time doing some maintenance around the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial! This was one of many more great experiences to come!
